Today we present the new, redesigned Bible App for Android, completely rebuilt from scratch. With a discharge 40% smaller than previous versions and more efficient use of memory, this new Bible App even accepts Gingerbread (Android 2.3 version). What does this mean? The Bible App now runs on more devices than ever before. Here’s what you’ll find it:

Simple icons make clear all the options in each screen. Simple menu bars make things you use most are just a touch away. But once you start scrolling, menus slide out of sight, giving more screen space for the text of the Bible. (To bring them back, just have to move a little, or touch the Back button.) This is the simplest, and the friendliest Biblical experience ever offered before Android.

Customize your experience with the new color themes that have completely new Bible App. Easily adjust your controls reading more accessible sources. Even switching between “Day” and “Night” modes, with color schemes optimized for reading in bright or dark conditions.

Connect with your biblical community.

The homepage is now more simple and compact than ever before, giving more ways to relate to Scripture and more opportunities to discuss the Bible with trusted friends. Also, for the first time, the Verse of the Day now includes the “View all” to remember the inspiration of verses from previous days.

Choose the position of your audio control. .

When you select an audio Bible version that offers a button forward / pause appears below, “floating” on the Biblical text, so you can start listening with just a touch. (Just change “Show controls” to hide or show the floating button, as you prefer.

Enjoy Plans … even offline.

Biblical plans are one of the best ways to commit daily with Scripture, giving you a few passages to read every day. Now, for the first time, you can download to your device Plans for offline reading (selected Bible versions are available for download). When you read a plan offline, App mark the completed Bible days, and then synchronized with your YouVersion account the next time you’re online. So even when you can not connect, you’ll stay up to date.

Here’s how: At some point, when you are connected:
1. Go to Bible reader.
2. Tap the short version code to display a list of versions of the Bible.
3. Touch the download icon next to the version available for download.
4. Click the Back arrow, then Planes, and then Find & subscribe any plan (s) you want.

Still within: favorite, new and old.

When you play on a verse or passage, your favorite classics now appear as action verse: Highlight, Mark, Note, Image Verse, Share, and Related. (Related shows you everything that you’ve associated with the selected passage. – Along with what other people are saying about their Public Notes)
