Introducing: Bible iMessage app. Oh, and one more thing…

Introducing: The Bible iMessage app.

In iOS 10, Apple introduced iMessage apps, a fun, super-easy way to include all kinds of content in your text exchanges — without ever leaving the Messages app. Today we’re thrilled to announce the Bible iMessage app, designed to help you breathe life and Godly wisdom into your everyday conversations.1

Send a professionally-designed Verse Image to inspire a friend. Or tap through our pre-selected emotion keywords to help you find a Bible verse that fits what you’re discussing. Or if you already have a specific verse in mind, just tap the reference search and look it up directly.2

Update Now

1 iMessage apps are only available on Apple devices running iOS 10 or higher.
Get all the details for how to find, install, and use iMessage apps here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT206906
2For now, the Bible iMessage app is only available in English. If you’d like to be among the first to know when we introduce new features, click one of the icons at the end of this email to follow us on social media.

There is one more thing…

We’re sure you’ll love the all-new Bible Keyboard, no matter what app you’re using — even if your iPhone or iPad doesn’t support iOS 10. Like the Bible iMessage app, Bible Keyboard also lets you quickly find a verse based on emotion or by search… but then you can insert them into any text field in your favorite chat, note-taking, and social media apps.1

Say you’re texting with a friend, and you realize they could really use a kind word. Or you’re organizing your notes to study for a big test, and you want to include a reminder to yourself not to be anxious. Or a friend posts on social media that they got the job they wanted, and you want to celebrate with them.

If you’ve ever used an emoji keyboard, then you already know how to use Bible Keyboard.2 But, even if you haven’t, it’s so simple (and fun!) that we’re sure you’ll love it.

Update Now

1 Bible Keyboard is available on Apple devices running iOS 8 or higher. Before you can start using Bible Keyboard, first you’ll need to enable it. After you’ve updated your Bible App, tap “More” (the … at the far-right side of the bottom menu), then Bible App Settings, then “Enable Keyboard,” and follow the prompts.
For now, Bible Keyboard is only available in English. If you’d like to be among the first to know when we introduce new features, click one of the icons below to follow us on social media.

Announcing the Next Bible App for Kids Game…

memory-match-web

Together with our partner OneHope, last month we released a huge Bible App for Kids update that made it feel brand-new. We introduced a new interactive map, new story icons, and all-new story activities,1 including the Story Mixup game. Today we’re announcing our next new game:

Story Memory Match.

Story Memory Match is a classic matching game, where you tap one tile at a time to flip it over, looking for matches. For Two by Two, the story of Noah and the ark, adds a twist — kids have match male animals with their female mates.1 Your kids will want to play Story Memory Match again and again as they advance through all three of its difficulty levels. (Each level adds more tiles.)

As soon as you’ve updated your Bible App for Kids, look for the new Story Memory Match badge on story icons.2

Get Memory Match

1Story Memory Match is available for Two by Two, Waters Part and Walls Fall, Through the Roof, Coming Home, and A Forever Promise. We’ll be introducing more new games and activities for other stories in the coming months.
2After you’ve updated your app, the first time you tap on a story that features an activity you haven’t used before (such as Story Memory Match), the app will prompt you to redownload that story to get the new content.

Find out first… what’s coming next.

Story Memory Match is the second of four brand-new games and activities coming to the Bible App for Kids. We’ll tell you more about each of the next two as soon as they launch. If you follow us on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, you’ll be one of the first to hear about these and other new features as soon as they become available!

October Featured Plans: Casting Crowns, Miles McPherson, Wendy Pope, and More

Daily Scripture readings and short video devotionals from pastor and evangelist Miles McPherson help you overcome your self-doubt, freeing you to share the story of your faith with confidence.

In this series of short devotionals, GRAMMY- and Dove-Award-winning artists Casting Crowns share the biblical inspiration and practical application behind seven of the songs on their new album, The Very Next Thing.

Informed by the 30,000 face-to-face conversations that Axis teams enjoy each year with teenagers, these four discussion guide excerpts prove Solomon’s wisdom is still relevant today, with daily readings from Ecclesiastes followed by conversation-starter questions for teens and parents.

Through excerpts from her book Wait and See, author and Proverbs 31 speaker Wendy Pope reveals how you can reframe your painful seasons of waiting into what they actually are: sweet, beautiful times with God.

Speak Life author (and self-proclaimed former “gunslinger” of painful words) Brady Boyd shows you how you can transform your past habits of reckless words into restored relationships — between God, yourself, and those you love.

Based on his book of the same name, this fusion of biography, travel memoir, and biblical teaching from pastor Jamie George reminds you of the spiritual convictions that set you apart — and the truth that sets you free.

With daily Bible readings and short video devotionals, speaker and author Pedro LaTorre encourages you to draw closer to God and deepen your faith by learning what it means to truly love people.
