Instructions: iPhone/iPad Reading Plans


Sign up for a Reading Plan

  1. Open the Bible App™ by YouVersion.
  2. If you haven’t already signed in with your free YouVersion account, do so now under More > Settings > Account.
  3. Bottom: Tap Plans.
  4. Scroll through all available plans.
    OR
    View plans by Category.
  5. Tap a plan you’re interested in. You’ll see the first day’s reading list, giving you an idea how much a typical day’s reading would be. To see a description of the plan, tap the information (i) icon to the far right of the the plan’s name.
  6. Tap Plans to return to the list.
  7. Continue browsing Reading Plans until you find one that works for you.
  8. When you find your Reading Plan, tap the [Start] button in the main title bar.
    Note: You can sign up for as many plans as you want. Your plans are tracked by your YouVersion.com account.

Use One of Your Reading Plans

  1. Open the Bible App™ by YouVersion.
  2. If you haven’t already signed in with your free YouVersion account, do so now under More > Settings > Account.
  3. At the bottom of the screen, tap Plans.
  4. Under My Plans, tap the plan you want to read from.
  5. From today’s reading list, tap the passage you want to read.
  6. When you’ve completed the passage, either:
    • Tap the down arrow to advance to the next passage for today.
      Note: The bottom of the screen tells you how many passages there are today, and which one you’re on.
      OR…
    • Tap the [Daily Reading] button in the main title bar to return to the list of passages.
  7. When you’ve completed the last passage, you’re returned to the reading list for today.
    Note: As you complete each passage, a checkmark displays next to it on the list.

Sharing

  1. Open the Bible App™ by YouVersion.
  2. If you haven’t already signed in with your free YouVersion account, do so now under More > Settings > Account.
  3. At the bottom of the screen, tap Plans.
  4. Under My Plans, tap the plan you want to share from.
  5. To share this plan on your connected social networks or as an email, tap the sharing icon (upper right, title bar), and follow the onscreen prompts.
    OR…
    To share an individual verse on your connected social networks, or as an email or SMS text message: 

    • Tap the passage from today’s reading that contains the verse you want to share.
    • Locate the verse and tap it.
    • From the resulting popup menu, select Facebook, Twitter, Email, or SMS.
      Note: Whichever sharing option you select, follow the onscreen prompts.
