50 New Bible Versions. 39 New Languages.

See where you fit in.

We live in an extraordinary age. All over the world, people are looking for meaning, seeking answers to life’s big questions. Inevitably, that means many will be discovering the Bible for the first time. The fact that half of the world’s population now has a mobile subscription (up from just one in five 10 years ago) — means that God has entrusted our generation with a historic opportunity:

To one day meet each person with a Bible, wherever they are.

Of course, when people first encounter the Bible, they can only read it (or listen to it) if they can find it in a language they know. More than a billion people still don’t have the full story of God’s Word in their own language. And of these, 2,000 language communities don’t even have Bible translations started. Thankfully, YouVersion’s visionary Bible society partners are actively working on new translations…and then sharing those Bibles — for free — through the Bible App and at Bible.com:

Where do you fit in the story God is telling?

The power of God’s Word is reaching the world.

We’re leveraging technology to equip this generation to be the most Bible-engaged people in history. Why? Because we’re convinced that when you invest in reading or listening to Scripture, it has the power to change your life. We know it does… because we’re seeing it happen all over the world.

I felt like when I read it, it was
speaking TO me, instead of me
just reading the pages of a
book. That was the beginning
of a whole new life for me.
It’s something that gets inside you

and changes you from the
inside out.

The Power of the Lord’s Prayer…Today

All around the world, people are hungry for hope. And God’s Word remains just as relevant, meaningful, and powerful as it has for thousands of years. In Matthew 6:9–13, Jesus taught His disciples a simple model for how they could reach out to the Father every day. Even today, people still recite Jesus’ words — what we know as “The Lord’s Prayer” — for comfort, provision, and direction for their lives.

We hope you’ll enjoy this short video from the Church of England, “Just Pray,” showing the profound power that these words still carry:

The Lord’s Prayer

“Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come. Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
Amen.”
Matthew 6:9–13, NASB
