New Bible App for Kids Story: Daniel in the Lions’ Den, “A Roaring Rescue”

In the latest story from the Bible App for Kids, “A Roaring Rescue,” God shuts the mouths of lions to rescue Daniel! From Daniel 1:1–4 and Daniel chapter 6, when God’s people keep disobeying Him, their enemies carry them away to Babylon. But because Daniel continues trusting in God, he becomes a leader in their new country. Some of the other leaders are jealous of Daniel, so they pass a new law to try to get him in trouble with King Darius.

When Daniel says he will only worship the one true God, the bad leaders try to feed Daniel to lions. But because Daniel won’t bow, God won’t let him be lion chow. God sends an angel to close the lions’ mouths and keep Daniel safe. The next day, when King Darius sees how God protected Daniel, he punishes the bad leaders and orders all of his subjects to worship Daniel’s God: the one true God!

Watch David Stand Up to Goliath: “Stones, Slings, and Giant Things” Is Here!

In “Stones, Slings, and Giant Things,” the next story in the Bible App for Kids, David faces off against the giant Goliath! Based on 1 Samuel 16–17, kids will see God lead Samuel — the prophet from our story “A Voice in the Night” — to anoint the next king of Israel. God chooses the shepherd boy David, even though all of David’s brothers are bigger, stronger, and more qualified. That’s because most of us judge people based on what they look like — but God sees what’s inside a person’s heart.

Later, when David goes to visit his brothers at their battle against the Philistine army, it makes him angry to hear the rude things the Philistine champion Goliath is saying about God. Because David trusts in God, he goes to fight the giant Goliath with just five smooth stones and his trusty sling. With God’s help, David beats Goliath and becomes a hero to all of Israel!

“A Voice in the Night” – Samuel’s Story Joins The Bible App for Kids

In the newest story from the Bible App for Kids, “A Voice in the Night,” Samuel hears God’s voice for the first time. Based on 1 Samuel chapter 1, verse 2:11, and chapter 3, Samuel goes to live with Eli at the temple. One night, Samuel thinks his teacher Eli is calling him from the next room — until Eli realizes that it’s God who’s calling Samuel.

Eli tells Samuel how he can listen for God’s voice, and how he should respond when God speaks. Of course, Samuel grows up to become an important prophet, sharing the things that God tells him with all of God’s people. But Samuel’s story begins when he first makes the choice to listen for God’s voice.

“Brave and Beautiful Queen,” New Bible App for Kids Story about Esther

The newest story in the Bible App for Kids is all about how God gives Esther favor with the king so that she can save God’s people from a really bad man. “Brave and Beautiful Queen” is based on the Old Testament book Esther, from chapters 2–5, chapter 7, and verses 20 through 22 of chapter 9. In this new story, you’ll see Esther help rescue God’s people through her courage, grace, and integrity.

When the Jewish man Mordecai won’t bow to Haman, an advisor to King Xerxes, Haman is very angry. Haman decides to get even by having all of the Jews killed. What Haman doesn’t know is that King Xerxes’ wife Esther is Mordecai’s niece — which means she’s one of the Jews! Mordecai encourages Esther to tell Haman’s plan to the king. God gives Esther favor, and when King Xerxes hears what Haman said, he gets rid of Haman instead! Because of Esther’s courage, the Jews are saved, and they celebrate with a huge feast.
