Starting Soon: 21-Day Challenge 2018

21-Day Challenge Starts Soon

Just three weeks of consistent behavior can carry you well on your way to a new habit. That’s why we created the annual 21-Day Challenge: to help you engage with the Bible every day. Start a new Plan now… and start each day in this new year with a fresh perspective.

Here’s how 21-Day Challenge works:

Beginning February 1, complete at least one day of one Plan, every day for 21 days. That’s it!

You don’t have to do just one Plan that’s 21 days (or longer). You can do a series of shorter Plans, one after another. Just make sure you complete at least one day of at least one Plan for every one of the 21 days!

2018 21-Day Challenge Badge

At the end of the challenge, if you completed all 21 days, you’ll receive a special 2018 21-Day Challenge badge in your Bible App profile. We’ll also randomly select one winner out of everyone who completed all 21 days to receive a special prize. But, most importantly:

You’ll have a new daily Bible habit!

Start by finding some Plans.

The 21-Day Challenge begins in just a few days, so we recommend that you start browsing now for the Plans you’ll want to do during the Challenge. Below are some ideas to help you get started. When you find a Plan you think you’d enjoy, open it and tap “Save for Later.” Or, even better…

Tap Start, select With Friends, set the start date for February 1, and invite some friends to join you!

Find Yours

⏰ It’s not too late…

Been putting off getting into the Bible?

The key to making positive changes that stick (like spending time in God’s Word) is simply picking something small, then repeating it every day.

Reading Bible on phone

That’s just what Bible Plans do.

Each day, the Bible App gives you a short, manageable passage to read or listen to. If you like, you can have your Plan remind you when to read.

The best strategy is to start with a shorter Plan, just a few days. As soon as you complete it (👏👏👏), start your next one. Over time, you’ll see a habit form, and you’ll gain the confidence to take on longer, more in-depth Plans.

You can do this!

Life is better with Friends.

Plans with Friends

The Bible reminds us again and again that we need relationships with people we can trust: close friends who will encourage us, inspire us, challenge us, love us, and pray for us. And they need us to do the same for them.1

“Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”

John 13:34b-35

Learning about the Bible is better with Friends, too.

As we shared with you a few days ago, Plans are great at helping you get God’s Word speaking into your life every day. And, talking about the Bible with trusted friends fuels your spiritual growth, even as it draws you closer to one another.

Plans with Friends brings together the best of both.

Complete each Plan day on a shared schedule, then talk it over in a group-text-style discussion. Study the Bible together in a small group, or work through challenging issues with close friends, or simply invite friends to share meaningful conversation centered around Scripture. However you use it, Plans with Friends helps you discover things in God’s Word together that you might not notice on your own.

Starting is easy:

  • Invite your Friends

There is just one more thing.

Consistency is the key to locking in your daily practice of connecting with God through His Word in 2018. The strongest habits start small, one day at a time. You can do it! Especially when you invite friends on your spiritual journey — because then you can help each other along the way…together.
