It’s the Bible App for Kids—in Spanish!

Today we’re excited to announce La Biblia App para Niños! Very soon, Spanish-speaking children will get to engage with the same fun animations, brilliant colors, and interactive Bible stories that made the original Bible App for Kids so popular. We’d love to have your help getting the word out! 

 

Created in partnership with One Hope, La Biblia App para Niños is the first of many new language versions we’ll be offering. We want the Bible App for Kids available to as many children as possible, no matter what language they speak. Spanish is one of the top five most popular Bible App languages. More people speak Spanish as their native language than English. La Biblia App para Niños has enormous potential to introduce millions of kids around the world to the Bible.

Get the Verse of the Day, Every Day

People ask us all the time if the Bible App can send them the Verse of the Day, so they’ll never miss one. And now it can! If you’re new to the Bible App, the Verse of the Day is a select daily passage intended to encourage you, refresh your perspective, and help you focus your thoughts on God. Of course, you’ll want to read more of the Bible than just one verse a day, but the Verse of the Day is a quick, easy way you can remind yourself what’s important.

Available now on iOS (newest 5.1.1 release), this handy feature is also coming soon to the Bible App for Android and to bible.com. Maybe you like thinking about the Bible first thing when you wake up. Or meditating on it as a midday reminder. Or perhaps at bedtime, so you can think about it as you’re drifting to sleep. Whatever your preference, just tell the Bible App when and how you want your Verse of the Day delivered…and we’ll do the rest!

  1. Home View: Find any Verse of the Day moment

  2. Tap the gear icon (see below)

  3. Select email or push notification
    (push notification means it will pop up on your device screen)

  4. Specify what time you want to receive your Verse of the Day

  5. Select the Bible version you prefer

Two New Stories and a New Collectible Set for Kids

We’re excited to announce two new stories in the Bible App for Kids, totaling 12 stories so far! From the story of Abraham, “God’s Amazing Promise” and “Abraham’s Big Test” teach the importance of listening to God. When God calls us to do something difficult, we are rewarded when we trust in Him.

Bring the Bible into your family life by sharing these stories together. It’s amazing what insightful questions kids can ask, and these opportunities can prompt larger conversations about faith. And parents, you might enjoy studying these passages during your personal Bible time. Read “God’s Amazing Promise” in Genesis 12:1-9 and “Abraham’s Big Test” in Genesis 21:1-8 and 22:1-9

We’re also adding more collectibles throughout the Bible App for Kids stories. In addition to finding pieces of the Armor of God, your kids can now find each Fruit of the Spirit.  The new collectible set is available now on Android and Kindle, and will soon be available on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
