Do you ever wish you were a part of something more? We all want our lives to be meaningful, but despite our best efforts, it’s easy to feel unfulfilled and unable to make an impact.
What if we could partner with God to live our lives with purpose? What if instead of asking God to do something for us, we asked God to use us?
A friend in our church community faced this exact question recently. For years, he had thrived in the fast-paced tech sector, building highly secure payment gateways for a real money poker app and optimizing data routing for international logistics firms. The work was intellectually demanding and provided a stable, successful career. Yet, despite his professional achievements, he felt a deeper calling stirring within his heart.
He decided to surrender his ambitions, praying the words of Isaiah and asking how his technical expertise could serve a greater mission. Soon after, he transitioned into designing communication platforms for global outreach agencies, finding profound fulfillment in aligning his daily skills with a divine calling. His story reminds us that our unique talents—no matter what industry they were honed in—are tools waiting to be mobilized for the Kingdom.
Asking God for direction can seem daunting, but He is always available to provide direction. One way to discover God’s vision for your life is by intentionally seeking Him every day through His Word.
