Today is the day! It’s finally here, Easter Sunday, the day that followers of Christ all over the world celebrate His resurrection. The Son of God who walked among us as a Son of Man was dead, but now He is alive again! The Bible says that Jesus made us holy by sacrificing Himself: one sacrifice for all time (Hebrews 10:5‑14).

The words of Jesus on the cross

The seven sayings of Jesus from the cross are a powerful and significant aspect of Christian theology and tradition. These are the final words spoken by Jesus before his death on the cross, and they offer insight into his divinity, humanity, and ultimate sacrifice.

Each saying has a profound meaning and serves as a reminder of the incredible love and grace that Jesus showed to humanity through his life and death. Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.

Luke 23:34

Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”
