iPhone Bible App Version 1.6!!

Stop what you are doing, check out the App Store on your iPhone, and download version 1.6!!  We are very excited about this update as it offers you the ability to bookmark your favorite verses, which has been one of the most requested features on our feedback page.  We also have improved the translations page giving it a new look with alphabetical scrolling and nifty sidebar shortcut (much like the contact scrolling on the iPhone).

We have also fixed some minor bugs and are continuing to add languages and translations for your specific taste!  Enjoy version 1.6 and keep us in the loop on any requests, bug reports and comments on our feedback page!

iPhone Bible App version 1.5

Version 1.5 has been pushed to the iTunes App Store! Go get your FREE update Today!

Version 1.5 has some small tweaks including improved searching, more translations, and some refinement on the appearance.  We also fixed a few offline bugs, specifically the ‘tunnel affect’ which happens when someone is on an online translation and goes through a patch of no-connectivity (tunnel).  Before this crashed the app, now it will give you an option to pick a offline translation.  This along with some other fixes should make your iPhone Bible reading experience much smoother.

Introducing the Blackberry Bible App!

In April we released YouVersion Mobile…in July we launched the iPhone Bible App…and today we’re excited to announce a new Bible App for the Blackberry.

As we’ve been working on the enhancement of YouVersion.com, many of you let us know that you’d like a Blackberry App that took you directly to YouVersion Mobile. Today, you have your wish!

iPhone Bible App v1.2 is LIVE NOW!

Today the iPhone Bible App v1.2 launched and we are thrilled to announce all the new features it offers! Here are a few worth mentioning:

+ Localization: the application now is localized to English (en), Spanish (es), French (fr), and German (de).
+ New Translations: Svenska 1917 (sv), Elberfelder Bibel, Luher Bible 1545 (de) Louis Segond (fr) Chinese Union Version Traditional (zh-hans) Bulgaria 1940 (bg) Statenvertaling (nl) Finnish 1938 (fi) KAjroli 1590 (hu) Terjemahan Baru (id) Det Norsk Bibelselskap 1930 (no) Joao Ferreir de Almeida Atualizada (pt) Romanian Cornilescu 1928 (ro) Russian Synodal Version (ru)
+ Book divisions: the books area is separated into key sections.
+ Share: you can now simply share a verse with a friend via email, and also notify a friend about the application.
+ Settings: within the settings area, you can change your font size in the Bible reader, and adjust to a low light version for simple reading in a dark place.
+ Improved user interface
+ Many bug fixes and improvements.

Finally, OFFLINE!!!!.….Oops…we messed up. You can get a sneak peak in your setting area, but offline is not quite ready yet. Frankly, we pushed out some code out on accident…but take that as a hint that offline is coming, really, really soon!
