Peace may mean many things, but if the definition isn’t rooted in God’s Word, then the peace we long for is only a shadow of the peace God longs to give us.
Right now, let’s ask for God’s peace to fill our lives and our world by praying these two prayers.
Oh God, my life is filled with trials and hardships. Sometimes, I feel overwhelmed and grieved. Nevertheless, I’m grateful that in every situation You are with me. In You, I can have peace. No matter what I face, today I choose to not let my heart be troubled or afraid. My mind is fixed on You and I trust in You. Fill me with joy and peace so that by the power of Your Holy Spirit, I may abound with hope. Guard my heart and give me the strength to live a life marked by Your peace. Amen.
Dear God, thank You for overcoming the world. Thank You that in all things we are more than conquerors because of You and Your love for us. Today and every day, help us to “turn away from evil and do good; to seek peace and pursue it.” Make us eager to maintain unity, and slow to become angry.
Let the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts be pleasing to You. Guide our feet in the way of peace and teach us to number our days so that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Heal our lands Lord, and bless Your people with peace. Amen.
When God speaks, the atmosphere changes and with one word, darkness flees.
When God speaks, the enemy is defeated. Every person living in bondage can be set free… when God speaks.
And yet, there are still almost a billion people who have limited access to God’s Word. There are still people who don’t think God can talk to them because the Bible doesn’t exist in their language.
Prescillia was one of those people. But that changed in 2018 when her community in Western Africa was presented with Scripture in their heart language for the first time. Because of that moment, she now says:

Think of the people who’ve spoken into your life. The ones who’ve helped you create cherished memories. The ones who’ve prayed for you consistently and encouraged you with their wisdom.
They might be a grandparent, neighbor, pastor, or parent—but today, let’s celebrate their legacy.

Father, please restore to me the joy of Your salvation. Remove the spirit of heaviness from me, and refresh me with a spirit of hope. Please grant me joy and peace, and renew my strength. Protect me and my family from trouble, Lord. And give us a song of praise for You. Amen.
