If you’re like most people who download the Bible App, you installed it because you believe that reading the Bible is important, and you intend to read it more. One of the best ways we’ve found to start a daily discipline is to complete one short Bible Plan after another in the Bible App. That’s what our annual 21-Day Challenge is all about: helping you start building a daily habit of connecting with God’s Word.
To help inspire you, anytime between February 1 and February 21, share which Plan you’re reading during the 21-Day Challenge — on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook using the hashtag #BibleFor21 — and you’ll be entered to win prizes such as a YouVersion T-shirt, stickers, a notebook, or drinkware… or even a 7-inch Amazon Fire tablet! *
Just make sure your posts are public (we can’t see any private posts, so will only be able to select winners that share publicly).
The 21-Day Challenge Returns!

That’s why we started YouVersion’s annual 21-Day Challenge: to help you get started engaging with the Bible every day. We’ll post the complete list of official rules on our blog soon, but here’s the short version:

We live in an extraordinary age. All over the world, people are looking for meaning, seeking answers to life’s big questions. Inevitably, that means many will be discovering the Bible for the first time. The fact that half of the world’s population now has a mobile subscription (up from just one in five 10 years ago) — means that God has entrusted our generation with a historic opportunity:
To one day meet each person with a Bible, wherever they are.

Of course, when people first encounter the Bible, they can only read it (or listen to it) if they can find it in a language they know. More than a billion people still don’t have the full story of God’s Word in their own language. And of these, 2,000 language communities don’t even have Bible translations started. Thankfully, YouVersion’s visionary Bible society partners are actively working on new translations…and then sharing those Bibles — for free — through the Bible App and at Bible.com:
What could 10 million children do?
The Bible App for Kids has now been installed on more than 10 million unique Apple, Android, and Kindle devices, all over the world. Somewhere, right now, even as you’re reading this — whether on the street where you live or in a country far away — children are exploring Bible stories designed just for them. And if they fall in love with God’s Word now, what will their generation look like when they’re grown? A revolution in Bible engagement is taking place in our lifetimes.
How many is 10 million? If each one of those installs
represented just one child, together they could: Continue Reading…

We start the new seasons of our lives with the best intentions. Deciding what we want to change is usually the easy part. But figuring out how to do that is often another story. If you’ve been thinking you want to give the Bible a bigger place in your life — but you’ve struggled to be consistent — we know just how you feel.
Fortunately, helping people get into God’s Word is what we do. So, each day for the next seven days, we’ll be sharing one easy step you can take that day to help you get started. Now, speaking of getting started, let’s talk about today’s tip:
TIP 1: Start a Bible Plan
Bible Plans help you build a Bible habit by serving up a selection of Scripture each day, along with some context to help you understand them. You may know them as Reading Plans or Devotionals. We like to call them “Bible Plans” because many offer features beyond reading: audio, images — even video. Whatever you call them, Plans are one of the best ways we know of to make the Bible a natural part of your everyday life. Let’s get you started:
