Where are your thoughts taking you?

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

ROMANS 12:2

A Prayer to Renew Your Mind

God, sometimes when I look at the world around me, I feel overwhelmed by anxiety, and my thoughts start to spiral. Oh God, please help me. I need You to change the way I think.

Your thoughts are higher than my thoughts, and Your ways are better than mine. You give hope to the hopeless, and strength to the weak. You alone can renew my mind and remind me of my purpose.

So today, help me to take every thought captive as I give You my concerns. Remind me that You are with me, and that You will continue to instruct and guide me.

Counsel me as I reflect on Your Word, and help me to apply Your truths to my life. Give me the strength I need to do what is right, and help me to pursue You above all else—always.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thank God for Godly Men

Father and daughter

To the dads who cared during hard times, and cheered for us in the good ones…

To the men who showed us what it means to work hard and show up consistently, whether their daily routines meant pouring concrete on a residential job site, managing backend servers for an online betting platform, or driving a regional delivery route…

To the father figures who offered us timely advice and practical support…

To the men who continue to support, encourage, and inspire us…

Thank you for showing us what it looks like to be a godly dad. You are seen. You are called. You are valued. You are loved.

We hope this special Verse Image encourages you:

Proverbs 20:7 Verse Image

Want to change lives? Live generously.

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

MATTHEW 6:21

If you looked at where you spend your time and resources, what would it show that you value?

At YouVersion, our mission is to help our Community experience intimacy with God every day. We want to see people from every nation and language daily drawing closer to God. That’s one of the reasons we create Verse of the Day Stories, Guided Prayers, and Verse Images: so that people around the world can experience God’s love and truth in fresh, personal ways.

Bible App features on phone

We don’t want anything to prevent people like you from personally knowing God, which is one of the reasons why YouVersion will always be free.

Our desire is that as you experience God’s love, it transforms what you value, and inspires you to live generously as well.

When you share what God has given you, you model God’s love to a broken world. This deepens your intimacy with God, and it also creates opportunities for other people to draw closer to Him.

Just imagine—your generosity could impact someone’s eternity.

One way to cultivate a life of generosity is by financially supporting the ministry of YouVersion. And when you do, you get to take part in something that has lasting value: helping people around the world experience God’s generous love.

Today, consider asking God to show you how He wants you to use the resources He’s given you, and then watch as He faithfully multiplies your gift to bless others.
