See What’s New in the Bible App for Kids

The Bible App for Kids shares the grand narrative of Scripture through fun-filled, animated adventures, but that’s only part of the experience. Even better are the things that happen during storytimes and bedtimes and in between. Parents often tell us their kids are asking big, important questions when they use the app. And the conversations they’re having together are changing families and shaping futures.

It’s already been installed on more than 3 million Apple, Android, and Kindle devices all over the world, but the Bible App for Kids is just getting started. Since launching last November, we’ve added six more stories and new collectibles for each Fruit of the Spirit. Our two newest stories, “God’s Amazing Promise” and “Abraham’s Big Test,” tell the story of Abraham.

We’ll continue rolling out new stories, and we’re excited to introduce new languages soon. If it’s been awhile, grab your mobile device and sit down with your kids to explore the Bible App for Kids again.

If you’d like to share the good news of the Bible App for Kids, here are two things you can do right now:

  1. Get the Bible App for Kids on all your iOS, Android, and Kindle Fire devices. It’s completely free. Just visit bible.com/kids.

  2. Share the Bible App for Kids with your friends, your extended family, and your church. It’s easy to share, install, and explore! Engaging with Bible stories now could literally change generations to come, as they fall in love with the Bible.

We know the value of experiencing the Bible within community. In the newest version of the Bible App, we want you to experience the power of friendship in the Bible. Now on iOS, Android, and at Bible.com, you can see what Bible Plans your friends are working on. Offer encouragement, celebrate their successes, and even join the same Plan.

Like and comment on friends activity

Now you can see when your friends start or complete a Bible Plan, as well as their daily progress. Cheer them along by adding a Like or Comment.

Discover new Bible Plans

With over 800 Bible Plans to choose from, seeing your friends’ activity can help spark interest, introduce you to a new devotional, or help you learn from a trusted pastors and authors. And your Plans might interest your friends in return.

Set the status to “Friends”

When you’re working through a Bible Plan, set the status to “Friends” so your friends see your activity. Not ready to share your Plan? You can set your Plan to “Private” at any point.

Two New Stories and a New Collectible Set for Kids

We’re excited to announce two new stories in the Bible App for Kids, totaling 12 stories so far! From the story of Abraham, “God’s Amazing Promise” and “Abraham’s Big Test” teach the importance of listening to God. When God calls us to do something difficult, we are rewarded when we trust in Him.

Bring the Bible into your family life by sharing these stories together. It’s amazing what insightful questions kids can ask, and these opportunities can prompt larger conversations about faith. And parents, you might enjoy studying these passages during your personal Bible time. Read “God’s Amazing Promise” in Genesis 12:1-9 and “Abraham’s Big Test” in Genesis 21:1-8 and 22:1-9

A lot can happen in a day. That verse you read in the morning might be hard to call to mind hours later. But when you see a friend comment or like a verse you bookmarked, it’s a chance to open it again and revisit the meaning. When your friends see your note, they can pray for you and comment to give encouragement. And you can return the favor! It’s a daily opportunity to “pray for each other…”
