Jesus tells his disciples to go home and wait for a little while, and God’s Holy Spirit will come to them. “Then,” he says, “after that happens, go tell everyone about me.” When you tell other people what Jesus means to you, that helps them learn how they can love him, too!
Jesus promises his disciples, “I will always be with you.” Then he rises up into the sky and disappears into a cloud. And his disciples see the whole thing happen! They are still standing there on the mountain, thinking about everything Jesus just said, when two angels come. The angels tell them that Jesus has gone to Heaven, and that one day, he’ll come back the same way. Jesus’ disciples are excited and happy, and they leave to start doing all the things Jesus told them.
