People who speak Spanish have a great new option for reading the Bible online and on the go. The Nueva Version Internacional is the latest addition to the growing list of translations on YouVersion. As the number of Hispanic YouVersion users continues to increase, we’re especially excited about launching the NVI.
You can find the new version on YouVersion.com, the mobile version of YouVersion, and every mobile Bible application that’s powered by YouVersion, including the Bible app for iPhone, Android, and Blackberry. We’re thankful to Biblica (formerly the International Bible Society) for their generosity in making the NVI available on YouVersion.
If you have Spanish-speaking friends or family, now is a great time to tell them about YouVersion and the addition of the NVI translation!
YouVersion features Bible translations in 41 different versions and 21 languages, and now BlackBerry users around the world can enjoy new language options for the app itself. We’re extending the global reach for the Bible App to Portuguese, Spanish, German, and French, in addition to English. These languages are localized into the app, which means all the buttons, menus, and settings will be in the language you choose.
You can have access to these languages, as well as some important bug fixes and improved stability, by updating to version 2.04 inside the Bible app or by going to http://youversion.com/bb.
More than 990 million people worldwide are speaking these five languages, and we’re excited to see what God does as BlackBerry users in these areas have increased access to the Bible.
Good news for all of our Android users, we’ve just pushed a YouVersion Bible update with plenty of new fixes. Here is a list of the updates in version 1.1:

Today is the highly expected launch of the Verizon Droid. It is the first device with Android 2.0 (Google’s mobile operating system), has a flip out Keyboard and has even been compared to Apple’s iPhone device by several bloggers (TechCrunch, Mashable, cnet).
