What keeps you from praying how you’d like?

We asked some of our Community this question and learned that many want to pray but struggle to focus, don’t have time, or don’t know where to start.

Can you relate?

“Does what I do really matter?”

Person

Have you ever felt like your hard work went unnoticed or didn’t make a difference?

King David is the only person in the Bible who God calls a man after His own heart. But even David felt overlooked.

When God told Samuel to anoint the next king of Israel, Samuel met with Jesse and his sons. Each of Jesse’s sons appeared to have the qualities of a good king, but God didn’t choose any of them.

“… the Lord said to Samuel, ‘Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.’”

1 SAMUEL 16:7

Jesse said that there was one son left, David, who was watching the sheep. At that time, shepherds were considered unclean and dirty, which is probably why David wasn’t originally invited. But although others overlooked him, God chose David to lead Israel.

Even when David was unseen, God saw him—just like He sees you now.

If God can use David, an ordinary shepherd, to do amazing things, then He can use you, too.

What you do when no one is looking is shaping you into who God made you to be and preparing you for the plans He has for you.

Just like David, continue to diligently put your faith in God. Today, spend some time connecting with the God who sees you, loves you, and values you through Guided Prayer.

“I thought the Bible was boring and hard to understand.”

MARSHA, USA

Have you ever found it hard to really connect with God’s Word?

Marsha believed in God but still struggled to connect with Him through Scripture.

But everything changed when she discovered the Bible App and its 3,000 Bible versions. Through comparing versions, God’s Word sprung to life.

“I can now read and effectively concentrate on God and His Word. I no longer see God as a character in a book. God seems so real to me. I see Him as My Father, and His stories are real.”

God’s Word is transforming Marsha’s life, and it’s changing the lives of those around her.

Your generosity can help more people like Marsha experience the power of God’s Word.

When you give a gift of US$40, you’re making it possible for 200 people to download the Bible App and experience God’s Word.

“How do I know if I’m enough?”

Hand covering sun

In a world searching for identity and purpose, we often look for reassurance that what we do and who we are is enough.

But we’re never really sure if it is.

With all the noise around us, we can get distracted from God and forget what He says about us.

No matter what distractions you face, when you know God’s Word, you can trust that it is true—even when you don’t always feel like it’s true. And here’s what God’s Word says about you:

So, how do we know if we are enough?

We aren’t—not on our own at least. But that’s the beauty of the good news of Jesus.

God loves and values you so much that He sent Jesus so you could be saved. On our own, we aren’t enough, but through Jesus, we are.

When you doubt your worth, remember this: God knows you better than anyone because He created you. And who He says you are is enough.

Today, ask God to help you trust His Word and that what He says about you is true.
